iFiniti Logistics

iFiniti Logistics has been specifically designed for companies that provide a haulage and storage service to the fresh produce industry.

It handles the unique logistical requirements associated with the fresh produce sector as well as the more general aspects. It is designed to work in conjunction with a connected accounts system such as Sage or Exchequer.


Customer Distribution

iFiniti Logistics has been primarily designed to service regular customers requiring regular deliveries of familiar fresh produce to regular destinations. Distribution requests from known customers are received by telephone, fax or email and then input into iFiniti. Distribution is entered using one of the three appropriate tasks depending on the style of distribution. There is a Task for entering stock holder distribution and two tasks for entering non-stock holder distribution. One designed for shipping the same item to many consignees and the other for shipping many items to the same consignee.

iFiniti Logistics learns which consignees’ customers ship to on a regular basis and highlights exceptions. This helps reduce the likelihood of a claim caused by shipping to the wrong consignee. This can be avoided altogether by utilising the mechanism for importing a client’s distribution automatically. Importing from all the major fresh produce sales software is supported out the box but realistically any sales software that can produce a C.S.V. file can be configured. The process initially requires a client’s customers to be mapped to consignees and products mapped to package sizes. Following which importing a client’s distribution is a trivial process and is 100% accurate.


Delivery Charging

Delivery Charging is organised by zone, package size and customer. Each customer can have their own unique price list. The person inputting distribution doesn’t need to be concerned about pricing. They only need to enter where the consignee code and the package size. iFiniti takes care of the rest which leads to accuracy and consistency.

iFiniti Logistics contains sanity test logic to avoid errors such as accidentally charging pallet prices for packages. These issues can however be avoided altogether by importing distribution directly from a file supplied by the customer.


Storage and Storage Charging

iFiniti Logistics provides the processes required to manage the storage of fresh produce as a service in line with industry practice.

Its Goods Received, Stock Take Lists, Stock Detail Enquires processes make managing someone else’s stock a breeze. Charging is handled, by package or pallet, first week free or not, not billed until the consignment is cleared are all typical requirements demanded by your customers.


Vehicle Resourcing and Routing

iFiniti Logistics automatically collects distribution into areas that can be assigned to vehicles or sub-contractors as a block although exceptions can be handled as well. This process also determines the route and drop order. Having done so a load sheet is produced in loading sequence and Delivery Notes are produced in delivery sequence.

Inbound and Outbound Labelling

iFiniti Logistics contains the means to easily produce appropriate labelling which helps identify inbound product and outbound consignee’s.

Invoicing

iFiniti Logistics automatically handles the production of Distribution Invoices and/or Storage Invoices. Following which the details are exported to supported accounting software.

On the distribution charging side, it can add an optional fuel percentage surcharge and on the storage side it can add handling and other ancillary charges.

Management Reporting

iFiniti Logistics reports distribution revenue by Customer, Area, Vehicle, Sub-Contractor. It also contains a deferred charge valuation which is useful for accurate accounting.

Hardware Requirements

It is modern, fresh looking and user friendly on-premise client server application.

The client being a Windows Forms application designed to run on Windows 7, 8 or 10. The server side being a special developer addition of full Microsoft SQL Server which is designed to run on a Windows Server 2012, 2016.

Live Stock Control

You will always know exactly how much stock you have irrespective of whether you never sell less than a half pallet, only ever sell whole boxes or sometimes sell items each or by the kilo. There is even a wizard that prompts you what to order when.

Purchase Order Processing

iFiniti contains a full purchase order processing module which, as you would expect, integrates with the stock control module. Purchase orders are converted into Purchase Invoices via a reconciliation process and subsequently posted into a supported Purchase Ledger using a specially designed automated task.

Returned Goods Procedure

To ensure that returned goods or customer complaints are dealt with efficiently it is essential to have a fit for purpose returned goods/credit handling procedure. iFiniti contains just such a procedure. It doesn’t just handle it from the credit aspect it also handles it from the stock control traceability aspect as well.

Management Profitability Reports

A vital aspect of running a successful business is to know exactly who, where and what is generating your revenue. In this regard iFiniti contains numerous management reports. Profitability can be monitored by Customer, Supplier, Product, Vehicle and Customer Category.

Traceability/ BRC Accreditation

iFiniti customers have found obtaining and retaining BRC accreditation simple and straight forward. A strong feature of iFiniti is batch traceability. All purchases are fully accounted for and can be traced from the sale or purchase. If your business is thinking about bidding for local authority business such as schools you may well discover that you will not be considered unless you are able to prove traceability.

Marketing

iFiniti contains the means for you to automatically keep customers informed about product availability and pricing. Both for items each customer buys on a regular basis and items that you think individual customers might be interested in but currently purchase elsewhere.
